Sunderland vs Peterborough September 24, 2013

Kevin Ball will take charge of Sunderland tonight in the wake of the sacking of manager Paolo Di Canio.

And he has an instant obstacle to overcome in that he will be without star-striker Steven Fletcher, who sustained a suspected dislocated shoulder in the 3-0 defeat to West Brom over the weekend.

Peterborough will be without suspended duo Nathaniel Knight-Percival and Mark Little, who were sent off in Saturday’s 2-1 win over MK Dons and serve the first of their three-match bans.

However, manager Darren Ferguson could welcome Danny Kearns back into the side, despite the midfielder missing out at the weekend due to a knock.

Sunderland
