Everton vs Valencia August 7, 2013

Everton vs Valencia will take the Sun Life Stadium pitch on Tuesday to determine the fifth-place finisher in the International Champions Cup.

Both teams split their first two matches in the tournament. Everton defeated Juventus in the opener on penalties after the two were tied, 1-1. That led to a 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid.

Valencia is fresh off of a 4-0 thrashing of Inter. That match was a nice sign of life after they fell to AC Milan, 2-1, in the opener.

Where: Sun Life Stadium (Miami Gardens, Florida)

When: Aug. 6, 9 p.m. ET

Check out the vitals for this tilt, and then I'll take a look at the biggest questions facing these these two teams.

Juventus vs Inter Milan August 6, 2013

Juventus fell to Everton in penalty kicks in its opening game, with American goalkeeper Tim Howard coming up with a big save to preserve the 6-5 PK edge after a 1-1 draw. The Italian champion was then befuddled by another American foe, MLS' LA Galaxy, falling 3-1 in its second ICC match.
Inter is not just winless but also goalless in the ICC. The Nerazzurri dropped a 2-0 result to Chelsea to open the tournament before being routed by Valencia 4-0 on Sunday.

Inter (4-4-2): Handanovic; Juan, Ranocchia, Samuel, Nagatomo; Obi, Cambiasso, Guarin, Alvarez; Palacio, Milito

Juventus (3-5-2): Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini; Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Asamoah; Tevez, Llorente

Juventus and Inter are two of the most successful clubs in the history of Italian soccer. Juventus' 29 titles (not including the two that were stripped from the club) are the most in Italy. Inter is tied with rival AC Milan for second with 18 championships.
Juvetus has won the last two Scudettos, while Inter has not won the Serie A title since the 2009-2010 season.

So, this tour of the United States, huh.

Two (unofficial) games in, and already people are getting grumpy. I don't think that's exactly what the Juventus tour organizers had in mind when they sat down a few months back and agreed to take part in the International Champions Cup. But, unfortunately for some, that's the territory you enter when you don't play well in the preseason. It might be knee-jerk to others, but it's just reality. We want results. We're spoiled. Dammit, Antonio Conte, you gosh darn spoiler.

(For the record, I'm not worried.)

And with Juventus only having one more match — the all-important seventh-place game against Inter Milan later today at Sun Life Stadium in sunny Miami, Fla. — before the Supercoppa, it's Conte's last chance to see his team take part in a friendly before things really matter in Rome in less than two weeks.

Match details and all team line ups:

Salzburg also looked to have won after Alan’s 68th minute strike, only for the Turkish side to be awarded a spot-kick in the fifth minute of stoppage time — converted by fellow Brazilian, Cristian.

Very soon we will be here. Coach Aykut Kocaman will hope his side secures a respectable result in Austria as they push for a place in the Champion League group stage Fenerbahce will face a very tough task in Austria as they slug it out with home side, Red Bull Salzburg, for a ticket to the 2013/2014 Champions League. The Turks had their ban overturned by Uefa after the European football governing body had announced their dismissal from the tournament following allegations on match-fixing in the Turkish League. For the Red Bulls who are yet to reach the group stage of the Champions League despite been crowned champions of the Austrian League no less than four times since 2005, this will be an avenue to make a bold statement in European football that they possess the qualities that can make them compete with the big boys in Europe. Despite losing the league title last season, they are amazing with Ladbrokes to secure maximum point against Aykut Kocaman’s side. They are priced at 11/8 (2.36) to do so. The visitors who made the last four of the 2012/2013 seasons are underdogs in this pairing to win at 15/8 (2.86), while the draw is available at 2/1 (3.00). Their recent win over reigning champions Austria Wien is a testimony that coach Roger Schmidt’s side are on top of their game. Taking that into consideration, there may be some value in odds of ¾ (2.75) for both teams to win either half offered by Ladbrokes.

Manchester United vs AIK Stockholm August 6, 2013

The Red Devils breezed past Hong Kong side Kitchee with a 5-2 win in their last pre-season game with the likes of Jesse Lingard, Danny Welbeck, Adnan Januzaj and Wilfried Zaha all staking a claim for their involvement in new manager David Moyes' first-team plans for the upcoming season.

Wayne Rooney (shoulder) misses out on the friendly despite Moyes' claim earlier this summer that the England international would make a return to the first-team squad for the game.

United insist Rooney is not fit to play because he injured his shoulder in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Real Betis.

All of this comes after the club rejected a second offer from Chelsea for Rooney on Monday.

Nemanja Vidic does return for what will be his first pre-season appearance but the eye-catching duo of Lingard and Januzaj, who both netted in United's previous outing, have stayed at home.
