Spain vs Uruguay June 16, 2013

In the absence of Xabi Alonso, Vicente Del Bosque has opted to recreate the Barcelona midfield instead of starting Javi Martinez. He's also picked Iker Casillas to start in goal despite his status as Real Madrid's No.

2 keeper at the end of Jose Mourinho's reign. It's not obvious which of Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta will play in the midfield and which will play in attack, though they should interchange regularly. Roberto Soldado starts up top ahead of David Villa.

Uruguay have left Diego Forlan on the bench while picking a team that looks like it will line up with a back four instead of their occasional back three. Maxi Pereira can play in either, while Martin Caceres can play fullback or central defense, so don't be surprised to see either setup. Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani are partnered in attack.

Spain lineup (4-3-3): Iker Casillas; Jordi Alba, Gerard Pique, Sergio Ramos, Alvaro Arbeloa; Sergio Busquets, Xavi Hernandez, Cesc Fabregas; Andres Iniesta, Roberto Soldado, Pedro Rodriguez

Uruguay lineup (4-4-2): Fernando Muslera; Martin Caceres, Diego Lugano, Diego Godin, Maxi Pereira; Cristian Rodriguez, Walter Gargano, Diego Perez, Gaston Ramirez; Edinson Cavani, Luis Suarez

Kickoff is at 6 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on ESPN in the United States.
